Understanding the Mission –

It is very important to understand the niche of your business and to who would benefit from this. It is also important to outline a strategy to approach your customers in the most effective way.

Specifying Goals –

 According to Jonathan James Tichich, a salesperson should set goals on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. This would help him analyze the best way to achieve them and also to gauge his progress.

Understanding the Customer Needs and Selling Accordingly –

It is essential to understand that the customers will buy only what is necessary for them. Hence pitching the sales in the correct manner to convince them of the positive points of the products will get you more customers.

Creating and Maintaining a Relation –

It is very important for the salesperson to create a favorable relation with the customers. Customer service and customer satisfaction should be given utmost importance.

Asking for Feedback –

Jonathan Tichich points out that “ASK, LISTEN and ACT” are the three main components of the sales profession. To improve the sales performance, a salesperson should know how to ask the right questions to get the best feedback from the customers.He should listen carefully to the feedback and should take immediate action to build the confidence of the customer.
